Yuya Kimura, MD, MPH, PhD, is a Lecturer in the Department of Health Services Research at The University of Tokyo, where he conducts clinical epidemiology research using large-scale medical databases. Trained as a pulmonologist, he began his research career with a clinical study of pulmonary aspergillosis, and his clinical practice included bronchial artery embolization for haemoptysis and intensive care management of patients with severe Aspergillus disease. These experiences made aspergillosis his central interest among respiratory diseases. Outside work, he enjoys walking, jogging, and golf, where he is still chasing his first round below 100.
