Simon Feys, MD, PhD, FECMM, is an internist and physician-scientist currently completing a critical care fellowship in the Medical ICU at University Hospitals Leuven, Belgium and the ICU of Amsterdam UMC, The Netherlands. He conducts translational and clinical research in the team of Prof. Joost Wauters at KU Leuven, focusing on fungal infections in the ICU. His primary research interest is virus-associated pulmonary aspergillosis, which he studies from translational, epidemiological, and clinical perspectives, including the development of novel immunodiagnostics and immunotherapeutics.
