Dr Kevin Doughty

Dr. Kevin Doughty obtained a BSc. In Agricultural Botany at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, followed by a PhD. in Plant Pathology. Moving to Rothamsted Research UK in 1987, he researched fungal diseases of Brassica crops (epidemiology and resistance mechanisms). He then joined Bayer AG in Monheim, Germany in 1997, working first in Fungicide R&D, then in regulatory science, and latterly as a Senior Stewardship Manager for Bayer’s fungicide portfolio. Since leaving Bayer AG in 2025, he has worked as an independent consultant, specializing in Antifungal Resistance. He is married with two adult daughters and is a keen musician and ornithologist.
